When you read a book,
Watch TV,
Listen to the radio.
Can you see the pictures?
The action
The emotions
I can.
I can see the action,
Images,
The emotions.
We can.
We can change the action,
The images,
and the emotions.
What do you know?
When you can do all this.
Do you know what that baby really feels?
Being taken from its mother,
being torn from its father.
Do I know what you feel?
When you are alone,
No one to hold?
Do you know what I mean?
When I write these poems,
writing these words.
No, At least, not entirely.
