HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

Johnathan and Grandpa: April 2007He asked me about his daddy just the other day
I knew not what to tell him except that he wasn’t here
Johnathan is grown now and what really hurts me most

Is that he has no daddy whom he can call his own

His Pop-Pop loves him dearly ever since the day
We brought him home from the hospital

The Lord works in mysterious ways

He held my little man although he never thought he could

He fell in love right then and there
He is his father in heart

My father and my brother
Who both have grown attached
They both love my little man

As they both held him
The day I brought him here

My brother now a father
And a very good one at that

Mommy, “Where’s my daddy?”
They are here and they will stay
