THOUGHTS OF AN OLD WWII VETERAN

HISTORY: C. Douglas Caffey was a member of the 509th Composite Bomb Group of WWII fame, Army Air Corps, 20th AF, 58th Wing, Air Photo Unit. He has been disabled since WWII with PTSD and other maladies and is now almost 83 years old.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of a regular appointment with my Primary Care Physician, Dr. Luis Garcia, at the VA Medical Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He went down the computer-generated list reading: three heart attacks, three cancer surgeries, one stroke, surgery on both eyes, PTSD since WWII, thyroid deficiency, diverticulitis, PID, elevated blood pressure… too high at present, and, therefore an additional medication added to the list, whereupon I asked what meds could I discontinue, which I always ask, as the present list is close to twenty per day, which includes insulin shots for diabetes, and a Nitro patch daily.

Doctor just looked at me and smiled, to let me know that the new prescription will be added to the list.

After leaving the Medical Center, I surmised that high blood pressure, is better than no blood pressure at all! whether its high blood pressure, or no blood pressure, it makes no difference to me for I will live just as long as God allows and no doctor or new medication will change how many days I have yet to live on this terrestrial sphere.

Lately I feel that our country is changing so quickly toward Socialism that I am glad I’m old so as not to see the fruition of that change. I fought for my country and have had nightmares for some sixty years, flying the flag daily. I think it is time to impeach the president for he has surrounded himself with characters who have openly declared their hatred of our country, which government is based on the Constitution.

They want to take from those who have and give to those who have little; “sharing the wealth” it is called. Those who work – have, and those who don’t – have not. Any American can learn to provide for his family unless one is sick and can’t work, and in that case provision is made to care for that family. I agree with that kind of government provision.

No support for illegal aliens! Let those who wish to become citizens get in line legally, learn to speak our language, known as English. I don’t wish to push “the button for Spanish”. Do you?

Conservatives, Democratic, Republicans, Independents, and all others need to stand up, speak up, and vote up, to bring our country back into line with the Constitution.

Obama is not truthful. He does not keep his word. He is not eligible for the office, in my estimation, and should now be impeached.

Away with the Acorn and all those who answer only to the president. Why did we elect members of the House and Senate? They are our representatives, and if they can’t, or won’t govern by the Constitution, we’ll elect those who will.

Send the United Nations packing! What have they done to make the world safer? No “One World Government” of any kind! I won’t fight under a UN flag, only the flag of my country as I did in WWII, as my father in WWI, as my brother in Korea, and my son during the Cold War looking for Russian submarines in the Atlantic, flying daily from the P-3C.

The time has come for those of us who realize that we, as a country, are on the wrong track. It is time to require Obama to produce the real birth certificate, or be thrown out of office, and the White House. If he isn’t eligible for the office of President, all those whom he has appointed should shown the back door, and all bills which he has signed should be nullified. That would make Biden President, and Princess Pelosi more cautious, and we ought to take her plane away and let her “hitch-hike” back and forth to California! As a soldier in WWII I learned to hitch-hike wherever I went along with millions of others; of course, the folks were patriotic and willing to give us a lift. If you saw Princess Pelosi hitch-hiking would you give her a “lift”? I think I know the answer before you reply.

We have come to bad, bad times. Must we allow this Socialistic Mess to continue? If we do nothing it will continue until the prospect of ‘getting our country back’ become an impossible task.

Are you, like our military folks, willing to put YOUR LIFE on the line to preserve our Freedoms? Unless many of us are so willing, we may never have the Freedoms which our Constitution provides.

At least that’s one old veterans’ opinion regardless of high blood pressure or no blood pressure at all!
