IF I WERE A GOOSE
If I were a goose
I’d like being loose,
Not hemmed in a pen
With a drake or a hen.
Freedom is not just for men
But for drake or a hen;
Don’t have to file a flight plan
Like flying on Earth by man.
If I were a goose
Maybe I couldn’t pray,
Nevertheless I’d be thankful
For being a goose today!
If I were a goose
And you were a hen,
We’d live on your lake
And never see a pen.
Thank God for freedom
In the good Ole’ USA,
I’d stay here forever
And never fly away.
