I can only imagine
how it must have been
to fight in a strange land
and see what you’ve seen

To fear every step
Look every way twice
Just to Protect
another man’s life

You fought for Australia
For Freedom and peace
you risked your life
to say the least

When you came home
Nobody cared
About what you went through
Witnessed and shared.

You suffered then
and still suffer now
Nobody said thank You
they didn’t know how

Vietnam has secrets
Only a soldier can share
So I want to tell you
We will always be there.
