SIX YEARS AND HOLDING
Not accepting the inevitability of war for any reason
some decry the taking of young lives in Iraq
moan and lament our using armed forces to kill the enemy
as ordered by an informed President
Most of us living now haven't tried staying alive
in a war that had to be fought
Yes wars do have to be fought
whenever and wherever
to take away the muscle of thugs dictators and terrorists
who attack for what is ours
what they believe should be theirs
what a divine power tells them is ordained
But some say this is so much bullshit
You'd better believe it is
to you and to me
but not to zealots who would murder you quickly
The US and allies must be doing it right
No major attack on any nation since September 11th
six years after two thousands of US civilians died
