OH HOW I WISH
Remember the day I tripped and fell
you caught me in your arms
since that very day, my love;
you have saved me from all harm.
I’ve never know a man so gentle
everything you do breeds pure love
yet you are so strong in so many ways
I’ve never had one thing to be afraid of.
How I wish I could hold you close
so close you couldn’t breathe
transposing the cancer from your body
to straight inside of me.
Oh how I wish I could carry your pain
and save you from such suffering
protecting you from all harm
as you have done our wedding rings.
