BRANDON

Visit Brandon’s Tribute and Progress Report on Woody’s WebsiteDear Lord, you know the tragedy
putting Brandon in harm’s way.
We bring him to the foot of the cross
seeking your healing powers today.
Let him walk in the sunshine
and run in the gentle rain;
give him strength to feel the joy
of playing basketball again.
Please hold his family in your arms
for there’s nothing harder than the wait
consumed with worry and heartache
by the uncertainty of a child’s fate.
We ask for a healing miracle Lord,
and believe your will be done.
Strengthen our faith as you do your work
for you are the Almighty Physician.
Amen

Dear Eileen,
This message is from my niece, Valencia, in response to your poem.
Woody
Good morning, this is so lovely, it really touched my heart. I will always tell Brandon about the support and love that he is getting from so many people. I thank you for sharing this with and me, and I also thank Ms. Breedlove for writing such a beautiful poem. I would like to ask her if I could print this poem out and place it over Brandon’s bed at the hospital so that it can be with him every day. Brandon is really coming along, he is staying awake more, and as of yesterday, they have started plugging the trachea so that they can remove it. I do not know if my dad has told yet but my mom’s sister passed away yesterday but it’s ok because we will get through this too.
Thanks again.
