WINTER

IWVPA Club Recognition of Outstanding Non-War Related Writing: January 9, 2004

Winter’s breath is on the land
another sleep is at hand.
But with spring, life begins anew
with a yawn of a morning’s dew.

Grasses grow and flowers bloom
bringing sweet scent to every room
chasing away the winters gloom.
Spring has sprung.

The sweet smell of warm air
sunlight dances in your hair:
Birds are singing their love songs
will be nesting before long.

Each season has its way
and how we live day to day.
Places are cold and some are hot
but let’s forget not.

Seasons change for you and me
so wonderful and true.
Let’s not be blue.
