Why bother to say
How bad hunger can feel
If you’re telling someone
Who has not missed a meal?

Why try and express
How exhaustion and rain
Took apart all your hope
If you’re told, “Don’t explain”

Why try to let out
How your deepest regret
Were the Brothers you lost
When you’re told, “Just forget”

Why struggle to tell
Of the horrible dreams
When you’re told that it can’t
Be as bad as it seems

Why open your heart
Trying hard to get past
All the poison in there
When you’re told, “Make it fast”

Why show you are hurt
And today, can’t be strong
Try to trust, but hear back
“Is this gonna take long?”

There’s just two ways out
Of this torment inside
And if love isn’t there
It will be suicide
