SGT. V
You know freedom ain’t free.
Just ask Sergeant V.
He fought for his country,
for the oil industry.
And what about you Mrs. V;
Did you take the yellow ribbon off the oak tree
When you came home from the cemetery
With a flag for a receipt
and a heart full of deceit?
And back to you Sergeant V.
Didn’t you already have autonomy?
When you chose the army
Trying to get some college for free.
Looks like you paid your fee.
Sounds more like a tax to me.
But you know freedom ain’t free.
Just ask Sergeant V.
