I CAME TO A FORK IN THE ROAD
Riding on my Hog with flames and skin of chrome
With all my best friends lined up who I did not know
I ended up at path that took me to a fork in the road
Not knowing which way to go?
Shall I go left to where the days are always night?
Or shall I go right knowing it leads into God’s light?
Needless to say I was not so strong
My choice led me to a life of darkness and wrong
Sitting in a shooting gallery
Watching everyone main-lining smack
Where everyone gets sick and completely whack!
It’s a life where even the truth is always a lie
People going nowhere standing in line to die
The main man knows you will always come back
All you need to get his love honey is some cash
This road is like a super highway it takes you on a rush
Paved with white powder turned into gleaming dust
Drinking to come down now
Flying way too high, drinking like a lush
Sly men and fast women so easy to please
Come with me and I’ll show you what you want to see
Then one day it all caught up with me
The high was no longer there
The person in the mirror wore the face of death
Living in a walking body that had no breath
Wishing every day God would let me die
Everyone has a journey to take
Regardless of what we have at stake
Some of us have to pave the way
So others can choose another path!
Some must pay with God’s wrath
So when you come to a fork in the road
Be careful which way you go
