PUDDLE JUMPER
Whenever I put On Suede Boots
It Always Starts to Rain
I’m caught with no umbrella
And because I am so vain
I run and take my cover
So my hair and heels stay dry
I’ve this done since I was thirteen
I can’t remember why
I know if I stand in the rain
I certainly won’t melt
And into Sun some Rain must fall
That seems to be what’s dealt
Although there’s a big difference
Between drizzle and monsoon
And if the later happens
I will have to change my tune
Until then I’ll play the guessing game
No need to watch the news
The weatherman is always wrong
When it comes to my shoes
I’ll wear my suede boots anyway
Though damp may bring me pain
At least I will look beautiful
While singing in the rain.
