Loyde P. “Snake” Arender

For the past few weeks the lobby at my local bank has been closed because of remodeling; therefore, I have used the drive-in teller; and, have not had the opportunity to carry on a short conversation with the many young ladies who serve as tellers inside the lobby. Over the past five years, I have developed a sort of “Father figure” relationship with the young ladies and most of them seem to view me as “an adopted Dad” asking me various questions about life in general, marriage, and happiness.

Yesterday, there was a Grand Opening for the newly remodeled lobby; and, I wanted to do something special for the young ladies who I haven’t seen in weeks, so I wrote the following:

Maria's Flowers: 2005

May the Flowers of Happiness bloom eternal in this the Spring-Time of Your Life.
