Good Morning Tony,

I am a co-worker of Poppas’ and just wanted to let you know that he passed away this morning. I emailed Faye as well. I know that he took great joy in sharing poetry with you guys. But we know that he is at peace now.

Peace and Blessings,

It is with great, great sadness that I relay this post that I received this morning…

Sad indeed Faye, but we can be sure that he reached the other side of the valley in fine fashion and was welcomed there even before we were aware he was gone. Prayers for those he leaves behind him.

From his bed of suffering and pain,
He rises joyfully, whole once again.

Amen Randy! Poppa will certainly be writing his prose from the other side. We’ll join him one day……… until then, many prayers for his precious family.

It is with the greatest regret that I must tell you the Lord has chosen to bring “Poppa” David Alexander (my father) home this morning, August 3rd, 2006 at 7:35am EST. Poppa loved you all and waits until the time he sees you all together at the right hand of God in Heaven.

God Bless You All.

Funeral Arrangements are being completed at this time. McReynolds, Nave & Larson are in charge of the funeral arrangement in Clarksville, TN. 931-647-3371

A prayer said and sent in his behalf. Sorry for your loss – a father is a wonderful thing – many times a man we least appreciate till it’s too late.

It is sad to think that Poppa will not be here anymore. I know he is with the Lord he loved and I’m sure that he is now free from his suffering. My heart goes out to you all and I will remember you in my prayers. I lost my dad in 98 and I still miss him terribly. I try to remind myself that life on earth is short compared to eternity and we will someday have that time to be together again.

May God be extra close to you all and give you peace.
