DEFEAT?

Defeat, you say? Defeat?

Where were you when we went?
Where were you when we cried?
Where were you when we were in torment?
Where were you when we died?

Defeat, you say? Defeat?

When did you go to war?
When did you share a last request?
When did you invade a distant shore?
When did you get so blessed?

Defeat, you say? Defeat?

Why did you deny your friends with excuses so lame?
Why did you march against our country?
Why did you beat the drums of blame?
Why did you continue to berate the land of the brave and the free?

Defeat, you say? Defeat?

Now that we have asked the where, the when and the why
Answer one more question if you please?
Where, when and why are you able to live high and dry?
Oh, forgive! The answer for you I shall give, “Our military!”
So you should be on your knees.

Defeat, you say? Defeat?

No, we are not defeated, just disappointed in those that act that way.
